Because Romance Readers Must Unite To Rule The World
Yeah, I went there.

Romance Novel Friending Meme
Because Romance Readers Must Unite To Rule The World
(and perhaps because of sheer boredom, too)

01. The point of this meme is to make friends who love romance novels. Even if you don't want to make friends, this is also a great way to get recommendations for books.
02. Read through the answered surveys, and if you feel as if you and another person could become great friends - or at least, on LJ - comment!
03. Please be cordial! No bashing, please.
04. Please feel free to promote this meme in romance-related communities and/or your journals! No promoting in off-topic communities. I'm sure LOST fans won't be too appreciative about this meme. Also, if you see someone has already posted a "pimpage" in a community, don't post another one! It surprisingly happens more than once, and trust me, it's annoying.

How to promote - copy and paste this!

Thank you, and happy friending!

PART 02: How Romantic!
1) Favorite Authors: In order, Julie Garwood, Judith McNaught, Julia Quinn, and Lisa Kleypas.
2) Favorite Books: I have dozens, but I'll list only three. Saving Grace by Julie Garwood. Something Wonderful by Judith McNaught. The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn.
3) Favorite Series: Bridgertons by Julia Quinn for life. I also love Kleypas's Bow Street and Wallflowers. And all the "pairs" by Julie Garwood. In fact, anything historical for Julie Garwood. And as for Mcnaught, can you say every single one of her historicals? SO AMAZING.
4) Favorite Heroes: Royce Westmoreland from A Kingdom of Dreams by Judith McNaught (AMAZING MEDIEVAL, read it if you haven't yet) / Jodan Townsende from Something Wonderful by Judith McNaught / Anthony Bridgerton from The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn / Marcus Marsden, aka Westcliff from It Happened One Autumn by Lisa Kleypas / all Kleypas heroes / Jack Seward from All Through The Night by Connie Brockway
5) Favorite Heroines: I only have two, hehe. Alexandra Lawrence-Townsende from Something Wonderful by Judith McNaught and Kate Sheffield-Bridgerton from The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn
6) I like ... : Historicals. I love the Dark Ages and Medieval novels. I also love Regency and early Victorian novels. If there's no cars yet, I'm happy. I also like paranormals, in a way. I got into JR Ward's books because of vampires.
7) I'd rather not read ... : Elizabethan. I never really liked the era. And I used to be a fan of contemporaries, but not any more.
8) I Got Into Reading The Best Genre Ever By: I was at my friend's house in LA, and she was busy with summer school. I was so bored! I annoyed her mom so much that she grabbed a random book off the bookshelf and told me to read it. It was The Gift by Julie Garwood. I've been hooked ever since.
9) I'm looking forward to ... : The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever by Julia Quinn. Have you read the excerpt? Turner is perfect hero potential right there. I also need to finish the ten or so books on my TBA pile.
10) I would recommend ... : All of the books I mentioned above. Try Madeline Hunter's "By ,,," series. Very touching. Great writing. Great heroes.
11) I have an estimate of ___ romance books: ~150, I would say. Which is a shame. Almost three years and I only average 50 a year?!

PART 03: Other Fandoms
1) Besides romance, I like ... : Fantasy. I like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. I am a huge fan of Stephenie Meyer's books. I also love period films.
2) I would recommend you read/watch ... : Watch BBC's North & South if you haven't yet. John Thornton is your perfect hero. And read Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, although, it is a YA book.
3) List a fun fact about yourself: I love to play (as in, write) RPGs and collabs. Right now, I'm doing a Pirates of the Caribbean Collab. SO much fun.
