Hey guys!

I just wanted you to know that I'll be gone the next week for the Key Club International Convention. (From the 9th to the 15th.)

The reason I haven't been active at all on LJ is because my family is going through some tough times right now.

Funny thing - I downloaded caps from P&P when I first started experimenting with Photoshop Elements 3, and I saved them all in a folder and put it . . . somewhere. I seriously thought I deleted them. But no! I found them! Some of these are pretty bad, IMO, but I actually like most of them.

I use PSE3, but it's EASILY transferable (right word? lol).

1. First thing I did was increase the saturation of my base. Enhance > Adjust Color > Hue/Saturation. I increased it by 20.

2. Duplicate your base. Set it to screen 20%.

3. Duplicate it again and set it to soft light 100%.

4. New layer and fill it with a dark blue. (I used #00082B but it doesn't hurt to get something similiar). Set it to exclusion 100%.

5. New layer and fill it with a light blue and set to color burn. (I used #BDFFFD.)

6. Duplicate your base again. Drag it to the top of all the layers and set it to soft light 100%.

7. I increased the saturation again by about another 20, and increased the contrast by about 15.

Flatten image and voila! Remember to tinker around with these steps. A small change can make your icon look better.
